Atlassian is proud to present the Confluence SharePoint Connector 1.4.
This release brings a host of improvements and new features, to help you get the best out of Confluence and SharePoint. Our headline features include overhauls to the SharePoint List Macro and Confluence Web Parts, new web parts for Confluence Blog Posts and farm-wide connection settings for SharePoint.
In addition, we have made a number of visual and configuration improvements to the SharePoint Connector, making this release the best one yet!

SharePoint List Macro Improvements |
With our redesigned SharePoint List macro, anyone can insert their favourite SharePoint lists into Confluence without needing to know wiki markup.
New 'Smart Fields' for the Confluence 'Macro Browser' make light work of finding lists from SharePoint and embedding them in a Confluence Page.
Even better, the SharePoint List macro is able to reuse custom or default List Views that have been configured in SharePoint. Customising the appearance of a list in Confluence can now be done through the powerful view-configuration interface in SharePoint.

Web Parts for Confluence Blog Posts |
A new Blog Post Web Part lets you embed rich discussions and newsworthy content shared in Confluence, into SharePoint. Support for Web Part Connections is built in, and you can connect to a new Blog Post Tree View Web Part, allowing your SharePoint users to browse all the blog posts in a Confluence Space directly from SharePoint.

Add and Reply to Comments from SharePoint |
Users can now make comments on Confluence pages and blog posts from within web parts, opening up a new way of collaborating on documents in SharePoint.

General Web Part Improvements |
We've spruced up the Confluence Web Parts with a bunch of new features! In addition to the core content of the page, the web parts now also display information about who created or edited a page or blog post. You can also view and download any attachments on the page.
The page content has also been enhanced to identify links to other Confluence pages. When you see this symbol 
, clicking on the link will update the web part with the linked page.
Combined with the Web Part Connections shipped in SharePoint Connector 1.3, navigating your entire Confluence wiki in SharePoint has never been easier!

Farm-wide Settings |
In this release we've added a huge time-saving feature for SharePoint administrators. You can now connect your entire SharePoint farm to Confluence in one step! If more SharePoint sites are added to your farm later, they'll be connected to your Confluence wiki automatically.
For details on how to configure the SharePoint Connector using this new option, consult the guide to Configuring the SharePoint Web Part for SharePoint 2007 or for SharePoint 2010.
